Can you breed a duck with arthritis

Can I breed a duck with arthritis or will her baby's have it wen they grow up?

I personally would not but that does not means it is a bad idea. How old is your duck?

I would guess that arthritis is more a breed related than individual hereditary problem; however, I would not want to see an arthritic hen at the mercy of most drakes so would keep her in an all hen flock.

My duck is over a year. I have separated my drakes.

I bred her last year without noticing any thing wrong with her and I have one of her babies to breed. Could her baby have it?

I would think there is a possibility but I am no vet.

I'm not 100% sure if it's arthritis but her leg is popping wen she walks.

I would think that theres a chance she could be predesposed to it but it also might not happen either. Just like in people. You wouldn't not have kids because your grandmother had arthritis. Crap shoot!
