chalky tasting eggs?

Does anyone have an answer why my girls eggs would taste "chalky"? Tonight I made my son some fried eggs, and he told me that they tasted chalky.

Has anyone else had this problem, and what do you think causes this to happen. I've never had this problem before. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you taste the eggs yourself? The first thing that came to my mind was that maybe your son is coming down with a bug or something. Sometimes that can make usual things taste unusual.
Other than that, I have no idea what might make eggs taste chalky.

thanks for the idea! I can't think of anything that I've been giving them to even make the eggs taste like that.

Yes I would fry one up and taste it yourself...I sure don't know what would cause that either. Sorry.

Our fried eggs taste chalky this morning too. I'm not sure why; we've done nothing different with them. It's a little disconcerting, so I'm going to do a bit more research.
