Morning! It's a stormy day here. Hoping it calms down in time for my morning chicken chores in an hour

I've gotten a lot of good birds from them. Not necessarily the best as far as the standard goes, but their temperaments have been some of my favorites over the years.




I give away the eggs I don't use from my birds and I still end up with a ton of extras, so I usually just boil them up and feed them back to the chickens after they've been sitting on my counter for too long. Makes the birds happy and fills them up with nutrients they lost in making them, which in turn saves me a little bit of feed. I don't know if I'd do 12 dozen at once for the chickens, though.

It's still raining off and on, but at least I didn't have to dodge lightning while feeding the chickens

Tell y'all what, my birds, cats, dogs, and boy have been loving this weather...so much my darn hens have start laying under my porch, which is elevated so I can still access it, but still. Slightly annoying. They're a goofy bunch of birds.

Absolutely, it's a great day to have off, which I luckily so have. Gonna get up to something with the boy, probably take him to a park.
