Chickens going up at night

I have 4 older ducks that go up at night and they know where and when to go and i also have some younger chickens that go up in a different pen.

My question is i have 5 other pens with different chickens in them
lets see

In one pen i have 4
in another i have 4
another 2
another 2
another 1

my question is can i let them out and they go back to there regular pens? if that makes sence... i really hate to keep them penned up but they mean so much to me and dont want to loose any of them so is there a way i can be sure that they go back to there pen and when would it be okay for me to let them out...ive had them i want to say for about 5 days and just want to see them pretty chickens run around the yard and not be pened up so can someone just give me a little help please

They will want to go back into a coop. They may have trouble determining which is "theirs." Try it one pen at a time and see what happens. Monitor them around dusk to help them find their proper coop. You do realize that there will be skirmishes especially if you have roosters don't you?
