Since we now are proud owners of 4 chicks, and knowing that they need to be outside in 5 weeks, the clock is ticking for my coop build. We decided on plans from the Purina website and so far its pretty easy.
I got started and framed the floor before I started taking pictures, so the very beginning wood cuts are not here. I will be more diligent with the rest of the build!
So far all the wood has been recycled from a friend. Now searching for plywood!

Bottom of floor. Its 45 x 45.

More pics as I complete more!!

Here are additional pics on the coop progress. I have been reading different posts about this design and the latest is that the nest boxes are too high in the plans and should be lowered. Not sure which way to go. No problem to move it down! Looking at other designs it looks lower to the floor, but not sure if it matters much. n
Sorry for not taking more step by step photos, but once I get going I tend not to stop much except for food and water! So far everything has been free, including the paint I found in the basement. Thinking of finding an old dog run for the chicken run. Nothing on craigslist by me.
