Ive decided to make a new coop as my older coop was getting a bit cramped and ive noticed how it was falling apart. I have a brahma cockerel and some brahma pullets in the flock so i wanted to put their bigger bodies into consideration. I have realized that my brahmas have a problem jumping up since they were chicks so im guessing it will be more of a problem as they grow. So here are the questions i have:
1. Nest box height from ground as i want them to comfortably jump to the perch for the boxes
2. Roost height
3. Roost size & shape
4. Should i make them a ramp for the roost and nest box?

Here's some tips about heights:

I made ramps for some bumbling brahma's in the first flock.

They have worked here for 8 years.
The perch in front of the nests was a 2x2, but the brahmas had trouble navigating it.
Switching it out to a 2x4 helped a great deal.
alright thanks! will be doing the 2x4s then
