My coop isn't as nice as some that have been submitted, but I love what I have done! I am almost done, but like a few details to finish up. Hope it's okay that I submitted. We have had this old camper for years, (It hasn't been used in years either!) so I thought "why not?" It would be mobile and easy to move around our property. Plenty of room too! I gutted the old, outdated gold and dark wood decor, and am loving the color choices I made. Someone once told me that if you painted your porch ceiling blue, wasps would not build nests. I hate wasps, so I chose to paint everything blue! The black is chalkboard paint so my five year old can have fun too. Trim is a brick red. In total I have spent less than $100.(A few 2x's, a little extra paint, and hardware.) I mostly used scrap lumber my husband had in our shed, some of the paint was given to me by a friend, and my neighbour gave me a whole roll of wire. My mother allowed me to get a few things from our family farm as well. (My grandfather was a great hoarder!) I used his burlap sacks for my curtains, my screen door was a farm find, as well as the plank flooring in the front (Not complete. I will sand and stain/varnish) The screen door and the plank flooring both came from my grandparent's first home, so lots of sentimental value there! The screen door will eventually be painted red. I am planning on putting an automatic door in the back soon. Also planning on adding a work table in the spare corner (where the bathroom was) along with a comfy chair. The original cabinets were in fine shape, so they were only given a paint job. I will also be freshining up the outside with a little paint as well. Right now, we only have two chickens, but I have eggs in the incubator now, and an order in for more! If you see anything I should change, or have any advice, I would love to hear it! This project has been so much fun, I believe I will start another soon. Especially since I have seen so many great ideas on here!

It will take about 2-3 weeks to choose a winner and then at least a week to get them added to the index. It's all a pretty manual process and we'll speed it up as much as possible.

Thank you! I am still working on the finishing touches. I'm thinking I need a cool leopard print chair sitting in the corner....(Things I wouldn't DARE do in my own home! LOL!)

WOW! I can't believe it! There are so very many wonderful coops and they were all grand. Thanks to everyone that participated.
