Coops close together?

Hi!

Possibly a dumb question. I would like to start keeping in our backyard, however, our neighbor two houses down has a large coop with many chickens and a turkey.

Can I build a coop in my yard without building a privacy fence? Will it stress them out or make them act weird if they can see and hear other chickens?

do your neighbors let their hens and turkey free-range? if they do you might need a fence, as chickens will wander. but if they don't, I'm sure if you get chickens, they will be fine.

Ah, that makes sense! We will probably supervise them if they are out of the run, so hopefully that will solve the problem. Thanks!
