Could I Lower The Temperature During Lockdown?

Hello!

I am trying to keep a continues flow of egg in my incubator. I decided I will use one of my incubators as a hatcher, and my other as my egg developer(I guess :idunno) For my hatcher I was thinking about using my GQF 1602 Hova-Bator. I don't trust it as much as my Little Giant incubator, so I was wondering if I lowered the temperature to 98 degrees so I know that there is a larger margin of error. Do you think that would be okay? Or should I get a better temperature controller for it?

Thanks!!

Some people intentionally lower temperature during lockdown. It'll slow your hatch, but that's not a bad thing as it reduces open navels and similar issues. I had lockdown temp go to 92 once and still got nearly a 100% hatch. (The one none-hatcher was a malpo.) I'd say go for it. Still air or forced?
