I had the temp and humidity perfect and then I put the eggs in and now I'm having trouble getting the humidity back down. It's at 58%. I don't want to keep opening the lid because the temperature drops. BTW, it's a homemade incubator made from a cooler.
 
If it's just the humidity, dont worry about it. Let it dry out for a few days before adding water. Eggs will evaporate some and it will take at least half a day to really stabilize in there.
