I’ve noticed that as my Welsummer chicken, Cinnamon aka Cinnie Minnie, has started to look like a Hawk. I just mean her pattern, colors, and even her beak has a black spot reminiscent of a hawk. Were they bred to mimic the appearance of hawks as a way to deter hawks or was this just random?

They're Red Duckwing. Often called Red Partridge for the breed for some reason. Partridge is a separate color.

Hens are Red Breasted: AKA, Salmon Breasted like a Red JungleFowl.

I have a Welsummer Rooster, which is Black Breasted Red, which is gender specific for this type.

The coloration is also known as Wildtype.
