So far as long as I'm correct the only pheasants I can not own are ringneck pheasants (right?). Hoover Hatchery claims to sell chukar partridge (https://hoovershatchery.com/chukar_partridge.html). If I can I may get some in the future.

As well as care here are some questions I have:

Are Chukar Partridge good pets?
Do they bond to their own with socailizing?
Are they hard to own?
Does Hoovery Hatchery sell good pheasants?

Thx,

To answer your question……most states east of the Mississippi only require permit for ringneck and bobwhite. Chukars are cool but mostly standoffish and can be flighty. They can also be very destructive to plants in an aviary. It’s Very difficult to discern gender even as adults for the novice.

Chukars or any other gamebird(s) do not make good pets...they generally don't like to be handled, don't come when called, and are very flighty.
