dog kennel as chicken run

Anyone using a large dog kennel as a run? If so where is the best place to buy one and can you buy one with 2 gates? Thanks everyone.

Try walmart or tractor supply. I use a xlg size one for my 2 chickens. Works great!

We've used dog kennels for all our runs. Picked these up at Lowes and through www.yourfencestore.com.

Just buy the 10 foot panels and build your own whatever size you want.You get a panel with a door.
This is what we did. I bought 8 regular panels and a door panel.Covered top with wire.

Check Craigslist. Sometimes the feed store has them too.

I built my own panels using 2x4's and strong welded wire. Nice thing about the dog kennels is that the wood doesn't rot and screws don't come loose.
