Duck pond is driving us crazy - ready to give up my precious ducks :( Advice?

There are "muck" additives that introduce beneficial bacteria to break down the duck's poop. the sand/dirt will remain which usually required annual maintainance, but using a product like "SUPER BUGS" and any water clarifier will help a LOT. They're meant to be used to break down large organic messes. My pond is WAY too new to see anything yet, but I'm an avid fishkeeper and these products work in those tanks wonderfully since I tend to over-feed and my tank is a saltwater reef system so it must be kept cleeaaan.

A pump like this can be buried under rocks and still pump out sludge (and long as it's a solids handling pump)
