Hello everyone Nikki here,
I have recently adopted a little male duckling that seems to be thriving. When he is awake he is alert, bright eyed and of course making a mess with his feed and water. However I am somewhat new to raising ducklings and am curious about how often they sleep. This little fella tales small naps every half hour, and sleeps in slightly longer shifts during the night only to wake up for the occasional food and drink. Is this normal, and does anyone know normal sleeping habits with ducklings? I'm afraid I have become a bit paranoid after reading books and articles online, knowing how delicate these little fellas can be.
