Isn't this the cutest little thing? Southern Flying Squirrel. It was picking some oats out of a bucket on my goat milking stand. Duff did a little barking and then we left it be.

Those teeny-tiny flying squirrels are most appealing creature in the world --- sorry, but they are even cuter than baby chicks --
we get them on our bird feeders in the evenings --

I had a captive born male and a wild female who was missing a leg, they had babies and I released them all at the sanctuary. I had my little man for 8 years, you would not believe how soft they are!

If you put up bird houses when it gets cold they will nest in there, I have heard of people here in florida who will get 30 or more of them sleeping in one bird house on winter days.
