I’ve had several Easter Egger cockerels not show themselves until 13-14 weeks. But in this case, the 8 week old black one with the red shoulder patches is definitely a cockerel.Eight weeks old isn't too early to tell as long as they aren't a slow-growing breed like a Luikse Vechter.
