I always hear of a dog being rescued, put on some kind of volunteer train...
Is there someone out there that can organize a chicken train?
Or if there is one already, show me where to look.
There are quite a few birds that need to be rehomed, but the rules (I'm not NPIP), or the costs involved don't make shipping worth the while.
Also, the USPS hasn't been so kind to the eggs that, at least I, have had shipped.
We have got to organize a volunteer chain, to get a system in place so we can transport our valuable cargo, without getting beat up in the process!
Any ideas, people? Roberta

Yes, and no. Why give USPS money to take a chance on killing a bird, or, take for instance, the hatch percentage on shipped eggs.
That would mean that EVERYONE would need to be NPIP to ship a bird. I've got ONE roo that I think is worthy.
Multiply that by how many BYC members...It's almost as bad as chicken math.
But, I did notice there is one person that advertised they are traveling fron NC to GA.
Can't we get an area dedicated to this topic?

Yes, kind of like the chickensitting thread... I'm driving ___ on ___, have room for ____.
Alot of long haul truckers could really help out...
There's alot of people going to Crossroads, maybe with some planning...
I don't know, it's just a thought.

HOW about an update - - Where is the egg train thread now?

I can't find anything current using the search function.... I think the newest I found was April 2011.
