View attachment 1926564 My favorite chicken was Nellie. I bought her 4 years ago, and she passed away a year ago. She was sold to me as a Japanese Bantam, but she obviously wasn't one. She was full of personality and always hopped on your lap. She loved being held and followed you around everywhere. I miss her!!
Your birds look stunning, and they sound fun and lovable! Thank you for sharing!Sure! I feel I talk about them too much but Jolie and Winona are my babies!

Jolie (CCL) is always jumping on me and following me. Today I almost stood on her, thankfully I missed her. She runs around like a small angry rugby player and I have to laugh every time I see her. Winona (Pekin) is a quiet soul but she’s gotten the habit of sitting on the edge of the flower bed and flicking the dirt out of it.
Don’t you have any stories or pictures? I’d love to see/read them!
Captivating bird with a wonderful personality. Thank you for sharing. Sorry for your loss.View attachment 1926564 My favorite chicken was Nellie. Do I have pictures or stories- GOODNESS! Too many pictures and stories! I talk about them entirely too much and my phone is more chicken than data!
But yes! I do!
This is my 5 month old cockerel. A Wyandotte named Adam. He's too handsome not to love. But he also used to be quite an ornery boy.

This one is near and dear to me. His name was Lochness Phoenix. Lost him early this year, but the memories are grand and worth a million smiles. He used to love being held and snuggled.

My juvenile guineas have formed their own group and claimed my Polish as their queen.
