I've read that the Egyptian Fayoumi can lay at 4 months and that the roosters can crow as early as 6 weeks. From what I gather they are the earliest (or one of) the earliest maturing chickens. Just wondering if anybody had done a breeding project with them take advantage of the early maturity trait? I've also read since they originated in Egypt that they are extremely tolerant of hot , dry conditions also.
