Feeding Wild Birds

Pics
Another flock of redwing blackbird males arrived last week, and they arrived hungry. No females yet. Monday the tree swallows arrived, but they did not stay. Perhaps not enough flying insects ? Bluebirds are nesting. My Phoebes haven't come back yet. A Carolina wren is making its annual nest on my propane tank. That's my 'bird' update.
I heard and saw a phoebe yesterday. Lots of cardinals and goldfinches.

I spotted a bird yesterday that just didn't look right from the distance. The binoculars quickly revealed the first Yellow-head of the season. There were a couple of grackles too. It won't be long now until the female Red-wings show up.

The day before, I spotted another new arrival. I have never fully identified this one but it is some kind of a fly catcher.
