Hey ya'al! I'm in Bloomington IL. We just got permission for chickens last fall. I finally took the plunge. It's expensive tho. $300 for the permit, $125 filing fee and $25 for something else, I can't remember. So being on a budget is quite a challenge to afford this. But I'm loving my chicks and anxious to see them grow.

There are a lot of threads for individual States now. I thought it might be helpful for members to be able to find the thread on their State. If a new one is Started I will add it here.
It must have at least 20 posts before I put it here as an official State thread. Right now most of them are at the top of the page. But I thought if one of them ever declined a new member who wanted to find it could look here. I like the idea of having a thread for every State. Hopefully this way the less active State threads will not be lost by the larger State threads.

I went through several pages. If there is one I missed please let me know. I found a few duplicate threads. I only posted the first one. If you have a thread and it reaches 20 posts pm me, or post here, and I will add it.

can we make provinces in Canada ? It would help because we are so BIG (even if sparse). I would love to find some other people in my province. You can make something like this if you want to group them:

thanks for considering I would like to find people near me so that I can share resources and get advice on finding things.



Many of the things that are easy to find in the US cannot be imported into Canada, so sharing resources makes a huge difference.
