Now Im wondering about the quail eggs....they go in lockdown tomorrow at 14 days

I thought i was mixing up the days the first few hatches it happened. That was the reason i started putting the collection day on them.

I think the hot weather has contributed to a large number of my hens going broody.Its WW3 trying to get the eggs

That served to reinforce my desire for some type. Of dense privacy screen around my property. So a litte AFTER midnight I ordered mosso bamboo seeds. 10Yrs time I should have a decent barrier

Rotsa ruck widdat. Most bamboo seeds come from China. They get x-rayed in customs (or confiscated). I have about 8 varieties of bamboo seeds, and the only thing they have in common is the 0% germination rate.

Cyborg,against my better judgment I'm going to respond to this statement. Postal Xrays according to what Ive read,are very low levels and once again,what Ive read,have negligible effects on seed germination. I know a bunch will disagree with that statement. Seeds not germinating could be from a multitude of different reasons.

There are mixed determinations on hatching eggs as well.
I believe that changes in elevation and humidity effect hatching eggs more than exrays. This is an observation. Eggs i get from the north East rately hatch.
I don't have that problem with north west eggs
