Wow, at 21 years old. I've heard of a chicken named Matilda who lived up to 16 years.

I hope she doesn’t hate me because I took her back to the coop. She had her breakfast, and she just wanted to lay down and rest for a little while. I have other plans today. She’s in the coop now with Jaffar who is cocorico at the moment. She’s Coco, more like a little puppy than a hen, except that she lays eggs.

Took hubby and me a while to catch her and then I took her home across the road.

Her owner was happy to see her back though! I guess she ran off when they had to butcher a problem rooster yesterday and ended up under our porch eating birdseed. Then she tried to get in my coop but of course it is locked tight. My neighbor warned me that the foxes are really bad right now for taking birds which is good to know.

Great job helping her out. Be wary of the foxes. They are very smart.
