Chicks first day (about 15 min) outside. They spent more time using us as a flying jungle gym than exploring the grass .

That eye looks cartoonishly large. Can you think of any experiments to test whether she has vision out of it? Maybe slowly dangle a blade of grass on that side of her face and see if she reacts? Seems like there would be SO much pressure on the ocular nerve. Either way, I’m glad it sounds like she’s up and about.

Oh it’s weird isn’t it? Believe it or not it has gotten better just very slowly. I have a bit of hope that it will right itself.

Time will tell, she is eating, drinking, and pooping. She is scratching around and doing all the normal chick stuff like the others so .

I may post over on the emergency thread just to see if anyone has seen it before and what they think about it.

2, 3, 5 are your buff, 1 or 6 is Jaffarra, 5 has the head spot. 6 or 7 is either head of 6 or another buff/light colored chick.

Remember when I got my first chicks? I got mystery chicks. It was very frustrating to wait to figure that out. I can sympathize 100%! I was able to figure it out at about the time they were fully feathered. It will become clear soon!
