(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I started 2 years ago with 4 chicks from TSC so not new but not too seasoned!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Gosh that's a trick question lol I have 15 grown chickens and 7 day old chicks I just hatched! I also have 2 more incubators full due the first week of May.
(3) What breeds do you have?
So many...(Edited to correct) fayoumi* I, bantams, silkies, Rhode island red, easter egger, brown production, cinnamon queen, a few mixes and two gentle roosters.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The love. I love watching them and bonding with them and giving them a relatively stress free life
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Roller skating, crocheting, language teaching/interpretation, pet care, nature watching, camping, hiking, traveling
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I share my home with 3 dogs, 3 rats, 6 cats, and of course my flock.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
2 years. I'm shy online with absolutely no social media but I browse backyard chickens site weekly since my babies are such a huge part of my life. I have begun hatching my own chicks after accumulating so many different breeds and want to learn more and share my knowledge with others.
