I have pilgrims and that's the only goose I have had. ..... Pilgrims are the only breed that you can tell which sex they are from the moment of hatch.

Actually there are several rarer breeds of geese that are autosexing: Normandys, West of Englands, Shetlands, Sebastopols, and Cotton Patch. I have a pair of Cotton Patch. Males are lighter/less grey.

I also have a female Sebastopol. They are another breed that are more even-tempered and good with children.
