WfW: I'm in!! I actually did have a Sultan!! She wasn't so friendly but as a sweet bird. I think she just simply couldn't see was the problem!! Congrats on your win!! Your bird is beautiful!!

I've raised dozens of breeds over the past 50 years along with my children & granddaughter. The breeds that have been the calmest & gentlest around them (the ones that they have made lap pets of) are black australorps, buff orpingtons, buff Cochins, light brahmas, & black silkies. A close neighbor & good friend of mine raised salmon faverolles & they were very tame as well (his children made lap pets out of them). If you want maximum egg production, black australorps are the best layers of this group & Cochins & silkies are the poorest layers. Whatever breed you decide to get, good luck with your flock.
