They are beautiful birds. Did you get the heritage jubs.? Thats what I had and it took them 18 months to mature. Some say 2 years.

Had a lavendar D'uccle drop dead today, I noticed he looked a bit off yesterday. And a Jubilee Orpington pullet died suddenly today. She never even laid an egg. So I dewormed the Jubilees just in case that was it. Combs look pale but no bugs.

So sorry you lost your babies.

I have done most of the birds, not the batchelor group in the lean to though, where the D'uccle was. I did not do the youngsters, hope I don't need to.

If they are out there w/ the adults every thing will flock to them.

Well they are not in the same coops but they are in the barnyard , so now I need to check all of them too

they probably are then. Since she hadnt started laying yet. That really sucks. Remember the hen I had that had prolapse ? I think it was the extra weight . She was a jub. I fixed her because I had the drugs here but following spring she prolapsed again and died before I ever knew it.
