Camp, so your not thrilled with the pvc feeder ? I was thinking on making some ..

I have some of those. Upgraded to bigger trough style grav feeders I built from scrap.

It's fine, in theory. I have it too close to the edge, so the rain blows in. And I have to stick my hands through the wire to get the cap off, then pour over the wire to fill it. Just a big mess. That whole coop is a lesson in how to do things wrong!

LOL! Well, yer one step ahead of me. I don't even use feeders.... I just toss them as much as they will eat in a day.

I just have the 5 gallon feeder and a trough. I go in and fight the chickens to fill it . sometimes, if they are hungry, they come flying out and follow me back in. hahaha corn in the trough and layer /flock raiser in the 5 gal.

I have to do that sometimes in the run so they will let me in the coop. They are flying up and attacking the scoops , knocking them out of my hands. I do feed them every day. LOL

its a good and sad time of life Sally, Kids are grown and dont need their butts wiped . Not much to do except what falls in your mind .
