3 yr. old just sang the theme song to family guy. favorite show is the walking dead. He can name every character in it and that was last season when he was 2.

Here's some directions for starting lavender. It likes well drained soil. Probably best to wait for spring. The hibiscus seeds look thick, so they might need soaking first.

I am letting some rose hips mature on an old rose from up at the farm. Going to try starting some from seed. Rose is called Sutters Gold and came out in 1949 to celebrate the gold rush. I can send you some seeds too if they mature. I rooted some stems to get my own plants off of the old bush, but want to try to grow from seeds. I think that old rose bush was probably planted in 1949. Mine are a little pinker on the outside than in that pic.

Gorgeous looking bloom! Well, the house I had high hopes for, I can totally understand why it's still on the market. Has some potential but does not show well. Very outdated, very gross, and with owners and a relation hanging out while we're checking the house out (and smoking...ugh my lungs are not pleased). Other house we checked out - awesome. Sadly has no furnace so that could make the financing a bit difficult. So we're checking our options on that and seriously considering putting in an offer if they can work with that. Hubs would rather a larger yard and smaller house but I think it's awesome. Half an acre...so yeah. Smaller but still enough room for us and projects. But the layout was fabulous, looked clean, carpets were in good condition...three bed two full bath. Good vibes my chickie peeps. Good vibes.

starting roses from cuttings is not an easy task. My GM could but I wasnt able. My thumb is not so green. hahaa No thank you on the roses. I planted soo many for mom and none of them ever did well. I just mowed a bunch of them down last time I mowed.

Hi Star.

Trick is to use the new quick growing green soft stems. Spring growth. and rooting compound. Mine are all languishing in pots. It's so hard to dig holes here.

why ? what kind of soil do you have ? Burpee makes it sound easy but the other one discourages because of the clay soil. Maybe I am wrong and they wont grow good here ? Lilac I know does good. Mine are thriving on neglect. Low nitro here too.
