not being too computer savy I doubt anyone gets this but worth a shot until I get help. I know I got wrong pic in avatar. I meant to show how I used grill top to make a brooder for 25 or so chicks. We always burn our firebox bottom and throw away lid. I was taught to improvise. By drilling three holes and inserting eye bolts attached to most any kind of chain, porcelain fixture and light bulb for heat you are in business for less than $5 and you recycled. If you like, spray paint inside white of sliver to reflect more heat
 
I think I know what you mean. It seems like a pretty good idea! I wouldn't spray paint the inside, though, as the chicks need a cool place to get away from the heat lamp.
