Ground hogs

Hi Y’all
I’ve had chickens for many years over 20 lol
Question has anybody ever had woodchucks/ groundhogs get in a chicken pen?

hi and welcome. I’ve had some around, but haven’t actually seen them in with my ducks, but I’ve seen the ground tunnels puffed up and I stepped down on them..

No, but we sure dealt with them a lot when I was growing up in Minnesota. Not sure how to get rid of those within a chicken pen though as we dropped poison pouches down their holes that were in our crop fields. Could you move your pen temporarily to be able to remove them somehow?

We have been dealing with them for over a year now and we are trying to find some one to remove them vs shooting them.
They ate our entire garden last year, which was devastating to us as that feeds the family all winter
We can’t do poisons because of our barn cats and dogs
We have filled in the tunnels several times to no avail
Still hoping to hear back from someone to trap them

Ground hogs don't last long up here. Bella likes to kill them if she can catch them.
