Guesses on what my mixed rooster might be.

I received this rooster from a couple that was moving, he is beautiful, good with the ladies and very protective with out a mean bone in his body. My hens are 100% fertile. The people I got him from said he was Polish and Silkie. I find this hard to believe as he has a slight game bird look, can fly really well and has a great personality. Very Dominate in a kind, but stern way. He is nearly as big as my Buff Orpington Hens.

He's huge like a jersey giant but could also be a black hamburg, I'm not positive, just my thoughts.

Did the couple who owned him breed him from their own birds? Also, I can't tell from your photos, but does he have 5 toes?

No, they didn't breed him, I didn't get the impression they knew a lot about chickens. He has 4 toes and a gnarly spur, and I do mean gnarly.

the crest seems too small to me for him to be a Polish/Silkie cross. I would guess, since he does not have the fifth toe, and I see no leg feathering, that he is a Polish crossed with something that is kinda gamey or mediterranean and has white earlobes.
