Also you said you switched to All Flock, do they have oyster shell available on the side?

They do and I was just last week worried they weren’t eating the oyster shell at all. I looked yesterday and they had eaten the entire dispenser’s worth after barely touching it for weeks prior.

You are doing everything you should be, so I'd just chalk it up to new layer glitches. In the future, if you end up with another egg bound hen you can give her a calcium citrate +D pill to help her push the egg out.

Thank you! I’m currently using Nutrena all flock so I’m wondering about that. I was actually worried recently they weren’t getting enough calcium but I can never tell.

Man, we love these chickens but they aren’t easy!

They get easier in time and with all the help on BYC they are a lot easier than they used to be, trust me !
