Happy Hens a Laying!

[Gone to the birds!]

Hi I am excited to see.... that now 3 of my 4 girls are laying eggs. The latest to get on schedule is the black americauna. We named this one "The Bird" after my youngest son's favorite character in a cartoon tv show. Anyway, she lays a small kind of oblong pointy bluish egg. This new egg color compliments the other two...which are a light brown large egg, with the other being a pinkish brown medium egg. I think the only girl we are waiting on now...is the Jubilee Orpington. I am proud of our raising them without any artificial light source and or heat source. They all seem happy and healthy. Have a Awk some day! This is G2B guy out !

I have a 22mo Easter egger that has not laid, so I get excited when I see others with layers. Yeah!

Always exciting! Looks like you'll have a colorful egg basket. The earliest I've had a chicken laying was my australorp who was 4.5 months and latest was my delware who was 9 almost 10 months.
