Hard time getting hen back in flock

I have a hen with a broken leg. She has been away from the flock for a month. She hops well on one leg and has been in a separate area in the run in view of the others. Now she wants in the roost area at night but the other hens attack her two or three at a time. Her being timid only makes it worse. Are they attacking her because the injury or the perceived notion of new chicken?
