(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

This is my first time with chickens ever. I've been dreaming about having them for years and now we have 1 acre and lots of room and my DH said go for it!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

We have 4 hens all about 6 months old...and 10 eggs in the 'bator going into lockdown tomorrow.

(3) What breeds do you have?

2 Red sex linked, 1 Black sex link, 1 EE ...5 Austrolorp eggs and 5 EE eggs in the oven as I type!

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

I can't remember...maybe from MyPet Chicken...

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Chickens are the only hobby I have time for...I have 4 boys and 2 girls plus a DH who keep my VERY busy. The chickens are my down time.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I have been reading and enjoying BYC since Jan. of this year so I feel like I already know so many of you. I never could have made it this far without this amazing site. We are a homeschooling family living, loving and getting by daily.
Looking forward to lots of fun as a real member of the gang.
