Hi,
I am fairly new to chickens, although my husband and his family have had chickens most of his life.
We live in a city that only recently began allowing chickens to be kept. We had incubated small numbers of eggs in the past (we foolishly did not now we could not keep them, so after a run in with animal control, we gave those chickens away). Reecently (as in just over the weekend) we hatched 28 chicks (various breeds) and 5 weeks ago we hatched 4(2 golden laced wyandotte, 1 Dominique and 1 single comb brown leghorn).
Throughout this last incubation, I had been on this site numerous times and loved all the information. Especially the candling photos!
I have three human children(10,8 and 17months) in addition to the chicks!
I can't believe how much I am enjoying these chicks. It's alot of work, but I really like it.
Thanks for a great site!
