Sorry, that is 1,000% cockerel. No way he could be the one laying eggs.

As far as breed goes, I'd say he's a Delaware mix.

Another vote for Delaware mix cockerel. If that bird were a hen it would lay brown eggs. Sorry.

Really???? Funny thing is that this was 1 of 3 "peeps" I got from the same batch. Two of them were roosters. They all had the typical rooster tail, which this one does not, they all had the typical large red lobes and all crowed and this one does not! The other two roosters would acutally gang up on this one. We since got rid of the roosters to a local farm. When they picked up the two roosters, I had them look at this one and they said that this was a hen. NOW Im REALLY CONFUSED!!!
