help!!!! three hens won’t drink out of the watered or eat out of the feeder

i got three new hens today to introduce to my flock. i placed a waterer in their coop and a feeder. watching them after a few hours they started to pant and thinking they’d drink they wouldn’t. i started to syringe water into their mouths and the only slowly took it. they are up and moving around. there are no wounds. they all seem fine they just won’t drink or eat

i’ve done that and they are still panting and refuse to drink. i brought an extra dust bath over and some watermelon but they refused the watermelon

My chicken have big water bowls so I dont know if they would think to drink from a waterer.

i did try that. i’m just not sure. i’ve dipped their beaks in the waterer and a water bowl and tried to get them to peck the water nipples

I would say spray them with the hose but they probably would like it. Lol
