Ok so I have 11 rhode island red hens that I bought from a hatchery and raised from day old chicks. Recently I decided to add a rooster and hatch some of their eggs. Instead of buying a pure RIR rooster I got this guy for peanuts. I'm trying to determine what he's mixed with. I say RIR and black maran but not sure. I have hatched off 11 chicks from him and some are black and some look more like a RIR. I guess I'm asking what your opinions are as far as his breed mixture so if I want to sell some of these hatches what to tell the customer? Hopefully pics load.
