I hope I’m doing this correctly if not please forgive me! I’m really having a problem figuring out the dosage according to the ml syringe. I should say in advance I have a brain injury due to an accident so it causes me issues with computing things. I’m having some illness problems with some of my girls & after going back & forth with my online Vet he had me pick up Liquamycin(LA-200) & Agri-Mectin (ivermectin) injections. After speaking again with him he told me it was better to do orally as to not make a mistake with the needle & harm them. So he gave me the instructions basically using an example but it’s just not registering & I’m really starting to feel beyond ignorant.
His directions:
Ivermectin-
0.1 mg per pound of body weight.
ie: 5 lb bird =0.5 dose
Repeat/14 days
Oxytetracycline-
@10 mg per lb daily
ie: 50 lb bird would get 50 mg
Approx 0.25 ml for 5 lb bird
I’m very confused with doing this using my ml oral syringe. I’m hoping someone here may be able to help me with this & thanks so much!
( I’m in & out crazy today trying to weigh my girls & ect so it may take me a bit to get back & forth here)
