Hen Eye Pecked by Other Hen?

Hello! I just went to check on my hens and noticed one has her eye closed. We removed her from the flock to get a closer look, she held it closed until we put her down in an isolation pen. She then opened it and I noticed it was red. She had been fine all day. This was noticed a bit after they got a treat. I am afraid one of our other hens pecked her eye over treats. The injured hen is our sweetest girl and least agressive with the other hens.

She is walking around fine and is starting to open her eye occasionally. I’m wondering what I should do? Any chance it’s not a peck to the eye?

Apply some antibiotic ophthalmic ointment to the eye and return her to the flock.

Thank you! I ran to TSC and got the ointment and applied it. She wouldn’t really open her eye for it and I had no clue how to get her to open, so hoping the drops on the lid made it through when she opened it!
