Here we go...

She has three eggs left. I put a cage around her because the other birds were eating the food I put out for her and her chicks. Somehow she got out, and then couldn't get in again. I caught her and put her back on her nest.

No pips yet on the incubator eggs.

Hatched butt-side up at about 9 last night. Biel x JG x JG. One more hatched at 6 this morning. Three to go, two not yet internally pipped but they were alive last night.

I tried to give her the chicks. She cooed, and settled down, but one of the chicks would not stay under her where he belonged. She got frustrated, started pecking at him lightly. Basically using her beak to make him stay under her. Then the other started moving around, crying, trying to climb over her, possibly to get to his brother, and she pecked him. She was getting frustrated, trying to corral both chicks, and started pecking harder.

I removed them. She's been a good broody in the past, so I'll try again tonight.
