Hey from Muscovy mom

[MS Muscovy]

Our muscovies refuse to get in their coop or in the garage. We have a pond that is still for the most part, unfrozen.
They are in the water and I just took a big bowl of duck treats with added raisins and dried cranberries.
We have the garage door up, about 3 feet. Hopefully they’ll come in. Right now it’s 11 degrees here in north Mississippi.

Good morning, and welcome to BYC. Luring them with feed may help. Ducks can handle cold quite well. The problem is that if the pond becomes frozen, they are vulnerable to predators.

Thank you. Usually when they hear the garage door open they fly or waddle up. Im going back out and try to get them to follow. They didn’t seem to want to eat but there are a variety of fish in the pond so maybe they’ve been eating. Im going to take some lettuce as they love lettuce.
