Are you planning to build a seperate area for the silkies? They probably will not do well in your large flock, and they sometimes require different sleeping arrangements-lower roosts are a place to sleep on the floor of the coop.

We had two silkies before with the others they was good until a dog got a hold of them. Since then i beefed up there protection. Im also looking on expanding the coop. We have a 8x10 shed that i turned in to thier coop with a 30x40 run. With the new babys will need the extry room for them i feel.
I do have a lower roost that my bantems use. but then again i have one of my bantem roo that loves sleeping in the rafters of the building.
