I've been haunting this site before and after getting chickens so thought it about time I joined.We are on 1/4 of an acre in the surburbs.Local bylaws allow 6 chickens max[no roosters]At the moment we have just 4.Haven't had chickens since my childhood some few years ago ahem.Thrilled to again be at the start of a chicken journey.

Thanks.I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.I have 3 orpingtons [black ,splash and white and 1 plymouth barred rock.] Autumn here now so will probably get a couple more next season.Am thinking aracaunas.They are quite popular here

Thanks.When I was 10 I was made a present of a black orpington with surrogate chicks barred rock and RIR.They were my pets. It's only taken 50 plus years to get some more.Lol.
