(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I’m new! My husband and I hatched our own mail-order eggs in an incubator a few weeks ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

15! My husband went a little crazy with buying eggs.

(3) What breeds do you have?

Silkie
Momiji (Japanese)
Sakura (Japanese)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

I adore my chickens and love to watch them scratch. And love holding and petting my silkies.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Gardening, DIY renovation, social media

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I’m currently building a chicken house and run out of bamboo! Almost done.

I've heard bamboo is being used for so many projects now because of it's strength and durability. So your coop should be really good.

Could you maybe share this in byc? There are a lot if articles and threads on coop building.
