Hope it gets bigger!!

My almost 6 month old Olivegger just layed her first egg today. It’s the size of a large grape, never had egg so small out of first timer. They will have to get a lot bigger to to match her sisters eggs. Anyone else have this happen.

Did you crack it open? Is there a fully formed yolk inside?

No, I haven’t. She has been spending time in the coop and going under the nesting boxes and making a nest but no eggs. Then today a egg on the floor of the coop.

I’ll crack it open tomorrow.

Made a fried egg sandwich this morning and used the tiny egg. It did have a yolk.

The aqua egg is one of our EE's first egg in my wife's hand along with a Maran egg. The other pic is a mystery egg in my hand with a Maran egg.

Made a fried egg sandwich this morning and used the tiny egg. It did have a yolk.

I had a few of those with my in-town chickens -- miniature eggs like like the big ones. I also had ones that had no yolk and one or two that was nothing but a yolk with almost no white around it.

I always figured that as long as it was just now and then I had nothing to worry about.
